Sea Life Aquarium & Legoland Discovery Center

The American Dream Mall is one of the largest Malls here in NJ. It’s filled with family fun attractions like the Sea Life Aquarium & Legoland Discovery Center alongside retail stores. We recently were invited to check these two fun places out over the weekend and of course wanted to give you all the details.

Sea Life Aquarium was super cute. Each fish tank had a touch screen with facts about each fish in the tank which the boys loved. There was a touch tank and of course they had a hand washing station for before and after. What we really enjoyed about this aquarium was the decor in the tanks. The boys thought it was cool to see the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty under water. Plus who doesn’t love a walk through fish tank where you can see sharks swimming above your head.

It took us about 30 minutes to go through the whole aquarium. We were able to see everything and interact with all the interaction areas. Once we were done we headed next door to our next destination.

Legoland Discovery Center is one of our favorite places to visit and when this one opened up we were so excited that there was finally one close to us. It’s perfect for ages between 3-11.

The boys favorite part of Legoland Discovery is the interactive ride. We get real competitive on who can pop the most bubbles and open the treasure chest to find the treasure. They also love the 4D Cinema and I have to say that I myself love it as well. Its about a 15 min show that’s action pack but also be prepare of the water mist and bubbles. And of course we can’t forget about the building class and the Miniland. Its super cool to see how they can just about create anything from Lego bricks.

If your in the NJ area I would definitely take a trip to the American Dream to check out these two places. What’s cool is that since they are right next to each other you can purchase a combo ticket and enjoy both places one after another. If you decide to go on a weekend like we did I would recommend to purchase your tickets for 10 AM when the attractions open. We arrived about 20 mins early and by the time we parked and walked into the mall we had a bout 10 mins to spare. The line was short when we arrived but when we left it was super long and long and they were no longer allowing you to purchase tickets at the door. We spent about 2 hrs in Legoland Discovery Center and about 20 mins in the gift shop for reference.

I hope that this post was helpful on what to expect and when to plan your visit. For more fun on our visit my Instagram page.
