Flocked Christmas Tree Obsession

It's December and I can finally talk about my obsession with flocked Christmas tress. I have been stalking Pinterest, the stores and peoples Instagram on how to diy a flock tree. After watching a few insta stories on how to flock your tree I just don't think I have the patience nor do I wanna vacuum every time the tree is touched.

Dollar Store Jackpot

Yes you read that right. I feel like I hit the jackpot after finding some awesome containers at the Dollar Tree and at the 99 Cents Place (local store). I have been wanting to buy storage containers for months so that I can organize my cabinets and just get rid of the boxes that the snacks and pastas come in. I feel like if I am able to see through the container I can see how low things get and can replace them quicker vs not being able to see through a box and then finding out that they are almost empty. Now I have searched in many different stores for storage containers and every store varies on there prices. I did find some at Ikea and felt they were probably the cheapest out of all the ones I have seen until I came across these. I found 2 different size cereal type containers with grey lids for $1.00 at the Dollar Tree. So of course I snatched them up and felt super happy in spending $4.00 for 4 containers. I then recently found these clear ones with white lids at the 99 Cents Place (that's exactly the name) and each size was a different price. The tall one was $1.99 and the smaller ones were $1.49. I thought those were pretty good deals considering how expensive they can be especially when you need to buy more than one. I'm so happy with how they are working and how nice everything looks. It definitely has made me want to organize a lot more and so I definitely will be going back for a few more. Hope this gives you some inspiration in organizing with storage containers.

Fall Tablescape Inspiration

With the Thanksgiving Holiday approaching I figure I would share some of my favorite Fall Tablescapes. We usually go to our families house for the holiday so I normally don't get to set up a beautiful table for the holiday dinner. I have been admiring all these beautiful images from pinterest and from the web and dream of the day that I will host in my own home. Until then I will continue to admire and get inspiration for my future tablescape.

Below are a few that I have been drawn too. Lately I have been so drawn to the Rustic and Farmhouse style in decor with a touch of glam if that makes sense. I love all the neutral and grey tones with the hint of some glitz and glam. The style just feels so homey, fresh and clean. The tablescapes are just that simple, fresh and clean.

Hope this gives you some inspiration on decorating your dinning table for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!

Playroom Revamp!

These past few months I have been sprucing up our HOME (apartment). Each room has been getting mini makeovers just to give it a little more of a homey feel. We have been house hunting for months but had to take a break. Eventually we will find our forever HOME. So in the mean time I still wanted to give our apartment a little makeover on a budget. If you haven't seen the boys room make over head over and check it out. In our apartment we have this little nook that we call the playroom. It has been changed several times in the past 3 years.

My Dollar Tree FALL Wreath!

It's mid September and that just screams out FALL to me! I am that person who can not wait for Pumpkin anything.  I absolutely love the smell of FALL and all the decor. Its definitely my favorite season ever. This year I could not wait to decorate my home. I wanted to change some of my decorations with the more rustic look but keeping some of the traditional colors of fall.

J's Lego Birthday!

We celebrated J's 7th Birthday a few weeks ago. Where does the time go guys? I can not believe that my baby is all grown up and has started the 2nd grade. This year he wanted to have a party where he can invite all his buddies from school and so we did just that. Now I love to do all my own decor and keep everything cost effective. So when planning this Lego Theme Party I went straight to Pinterest and found the picture of what I wanted to recreate the best way I could.

Boys Room Makeover On A Budget!

Hi everyone hope you all have been having an awesome summer. I been quite busy with just spending a lot of quality time with my family. Recently I redid my boys room and I am absolutely in LOVE with how it has turned out. I am not an interior designer but like most I get my inspirations from Pinterest.  For months I have been wanting to redo the kids room but was not sure what I wanted to do exactly. My boys whom are 2 and 7 are obsess with Cars & Planes.

What I like to wear in the Summer!

With the temperature heating up I get a little frustrated in finding clothes that are light weight, comfortable and can be dressed up or down. The romper is that staple piece in my closet for the summer season. I absolutely love that any body type can wear it. I also love that I can transition a romper from day to night with some accessories and just adding a pair of heels.

Pinterest Hack Win!

Hey guys so just like many of you I am a little obsess with Pinterest and all the wonderful hacks and inspiration boards. I'm always looking for ideas and how to simplify my life, but do we really try out things we pin on our boards? Well I have tried out a few different things and have had success and I also have had some fails. Now, I seriously have to say this is by far one of my favorite hacks from Pinterest. I'm sure we all have seen the clean your microfiber sofa with alcohol pin. Well although I was really skeptical of the whole thing I decided to give it a try.

5 Kids Summer Must Haves!

School is officially out and Summer has officially started! I wanted to do a post that includes some of our favorite summer must haves. So take a look on what we been loving this summer!

As we know the sun is very draining. I always make sure to pack my boys water bottles even if I'm just going to the store. You will find a water bottle of some sort in my bag.  Check out this fun water bottle that we came across by Contigo. I'm loving the fact that my kids water stays cold and that the bottle does not sweat. So my bag will stay nice and dry. you can find this bottle in Target or online.

Ayden's PJ Mask Birthday!

This past weekend we celebrated our lil guys 2nd birthday. So when planning his party I already knew I wanted to do the PJ Mask theme. Now this theme is no where to be found in the stores and although you may find tons of things on Etsy I really just wanted to stay on a budget and not spend so much. So I went straight to Pinterest for inspiration on all things PJ Mask. I must say I did pretty good.

What's in my Mommy Bag / Purse!

Recently I had been watching videos on you tube on What's in my bag / purse.  Is it creepy to say that I enjoy watching other people empty their bags out on camera. Please tell me that I;m not the only crazy person. lol  It may just be that I am nosy and want to see what others are lugging around in their bags.  Any who so since I love these videos I decided to write a post on whats in my bag. I don't have the courage to do a video so a post will do. So lets get started as they would say in the videos. Lol
My current bag that I am using when I am with my kiddos is a Black Michael Kors hand bag.

This bag is probably one of my favorites because of the gold hardware and the amount of room it has.
My husband had purchased this bag for me about 2 years ago and i honestly didn't use it that much because it was so big. No that i no longer actually carry a diaper bag I decided that this bag would be perfect as a Mommy / Purse. I can fit all my stuff on one side and all my kids stuff on the other side.

Diapers, Wipes, Snacks, Epi Pen Pouch, Sunscreen, Sippy Cup (not shown) & there is always a random car.

Make up Pouch, Mini Coach Wallet, Glasses, Sunglasses, A's little Aviator (Children's Place), head phones, keys, iPhone, random dollar, hair clip.

Aleve (for when my kids drive me insane), Infant Motrin, Coach Mirror.

Vaseline Lip Therapy, my current favorite Lip Sticks & Lip Liner ( can you tell I love Nude Lippies).

Recently I had a friend ask my why do I have so many little bags in my purse and will I said that each bags has its purpose and just keeps my bag organized. I love that when I run out alone I just grab my wallet, keys, phone and sunnies and I put them in a smaller bag. It really just makes things so much easier. Now don't be fooled I did have a few random receipts but I just tossed them so they didn't make the cut in my photos. lol  What's in your bag?

Diy #Momlife T-Shirt

So with Mother's Day coming up I wanted to get a #Momlife shirt but just honestly didn't get around to ordering one and they can be a little pricy at times. Don't get me wrong I love to support small businesses but I decided to just make myself one and figure I would do a post just in case anyone wanted to make one for themselves.

Mother's Day Gift Ideas!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Beautiful Mamas! I wanted to do a post on things that I wouldn't mind getting as a gift for Mother's Day. I'm extremely simple to shop for in my opinion. My hubby thinks otherwise.

I came across these super cute inspirational cuffs called Mantra Band. These bracelets are so simple yet can be a statement piece of jewelry with any outfit. Its also gives you such an uplifting message. They come in silver, gold, and rose gold and very affordable. Prices start at $25 and if you don't have time to order them from the website you can definitely find them at Nordstroms.

What Mom wouldn't want a new Robe. I love these robes by Gilligan & O'Malley from Target.
I think there line of sleep wear is definitely a favorite of mine. Not only are they affordable but they are comfy and have many fun and colorful prints. This one is on sale this week for just $20.

This Faux Leather Mini Backpack from Forever 21 is a must for a mom who just needs a functional not so big bag. Especially now during this Spring and up coming Summer season it will just make things super easy when running around with your Littles at the park, zoo or just doing errands. There are so many different styles and at different price points. I love that this one was just $22.90 and in this beautiful cobalt blue color.

Gift Cards to Moms favorite store, coffee shop, or nail salon is also a great gift. Moms love a little me time and when getting gift cards it definitely screams for a day out with no kids and just enjoy a little quiet time to yourself.

I hope that this gives you some ideas when shopping for a MOM. Happy Mother's Day to all!!

Happy Friday!  Hope everyone is having a Fabulous Friday so far! I wanted to share some of the things I been liking, loving, and trying recently.

Crayon & Marker Caddy

I recently went to Target......I know Shocker Right! That place is always calling for me. Anyway I was there to pick up some party stuff for my little guy and automatically went straight to the Dollar Spot. Not to many new things since Easter so I didn't go crazy. I did grab a wooden caddy. When I saw it I knew exactly what I wanted it for. I wanted to store my kids crayons and washable markers in it. Recently Ayden has been wanting to color in his Paw Patrol coloring book but when I grab the crayons from the closet he just empties the whole box everywhere as he should because he's only 1

Warby Parker-Spring Collection Limited Edition

With the Spring weather we will be having all this week here on the East Coast what not better time then to talk about The Windsor Spring Collection for Warby Parker. If you are not familiar with Warby Parker then you need to be. They are an online company along with various locations across the U.S. They offer optical and sun wear glasses. They will be launching their new Spring Collection-Limited Edition today for the optical glasses.  When I received the information on the new collection I was so impress with how bright and springy the colors of the frames are and how it does remind me of colors and patterns I would see at the Circus. So I definitely get where they got there inspiration from. This collection looks so light weight and I'm loving the round lens and how this style is coming back. Perfect fresh look for this season. I have 3 that I am really loving right now from this collection.

                      Ingles - Redbird

                         Milton - Tiger Tortoise

Milton - Aloe Green

This collection will be available March 8th online and in stores. So you will be able to purchase your new specs just in time for the Spring Season. Great accessories to any outfit if you wear glasses like I do. Now what I really love about this company is that you can select 5 pairs of glasses to be mailed and shipped to you free of charge to try on at home to help you narrow down your selection. But the best part of this company is that with every pair you purchase they will give one pair to someone in need.  That is an amazing contribution and I am all for amazing companies that are willing to give back. So go check out the site if you haven't done so yet and please let me know what you think. Let me know if you try them out and your thoughts in the comments below.

Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday Beauties! I wanted to share in this post some of my favorite things new and old.

1. I don't have tons of make up but I do have enough to fill my make up cube. So with that being said my acrylic make up cube is number one on my list. I bought it about 2 years ago on Amazon. I don't have a big collection of makeup but this definitely holds all my stuff that I use and need.

Teepee Fun!

Happy Fri-Yay! Hope everyone is enjoying there day and getting ready for the weekend. We are getting ready for this Blizzard here on the East Coast. Fun stuff! Lol I wanted to share my boys latest obsession. For Christmas my parents had bought them a teepee and it has been one of the best gifts they have received. Since I've put it up it has been there go to hiding spot, reading corner, and play area. I was afraid that it would take up so much room being that we are apartment living but it has worked out great in there space.

A Dupe for the Erin Condren Planner

Happy 2016 Everyone! This year like every year I just didn't feel the need to make any resolutions because face it I just can't keep them. But I do wish to be more productive here on my blog and I'm trying to stay organized. For months I have been stalking the Erin Condren site and was tempted in every way to make the purchase but I could not bare to let myself spend that ridiculous amount on the planner and then the shipping cost was insane. So I kept using my little Walmart Planner until it was time to get a new one for the new year. I went to Target and found a few that were nice but not what I wanted for the price point they had either. They to were a little expensive for just a plain planner. So I started to check different sites and even Etsy but I honestly didn't want to spend more than $10. Yes I know I'm being a cheapo but I like to be on a budget. Until I came across The Happy Planner. I found this planner at Michaels and it was so similar to the Erin Condren Planner. I was amazed how similar it was and the Price sold me. I instantly looked up the website to see what selections were available on The Happy Planner site and they pretty much had the exact ones at the store along with a wall of stickers, note pads, folders, inspirational quotes etc.

The planner is a 18 month planner and whats good about it is that you can remove the months that already have passed and add any extras that fit your life style plans. The planner was $24.99 in store and online for Michaels & for The Happy Planner site it is the same price but currently on sale for $12.48. Dont forget that if you decide to pick it up at the store to use a Michaels 50% off coupon which will come out to $12.50. The planner is sold out on the Michael's website but you can check the other website or in stores. The stickers and extras start from $1.99 -$7.99 on line and in stores. I've also seen some cute stickers at the dollar tree if your really all that crazy with the stickers. What type of planners are you using and how do you feel about the sticker and planner world? Leave me a comment down below.

The Happy Planner includes:
  • 18 Month Planner
  • Monthly and weekly calender pages
  • dividers
  • space for creative planning and scheduling
